Friday's Favorites
Dan Brown's Master Class, "1000 Black Men" & Spotify's Abusive Technology, etc.
It could be inspiring and informative, if this is of interest, to share our favorite picks every Friday.
Share a favorite post (or 2 or 3) in the comments section below. S'il vous plaƮt, tell us what you like about it.
Looking forward to reading your picks. Happy Summer Friday!
I'll kick it off with 2, no 3 of my own picks:
Master Class (in full) given by Dan Brown, author of "The Da Vinci Code." His approach to writing is very practical. "Protect your process" by writing everyday at the same time in the same place if possible. He also claims the first 50 pages are the hardest to write, but he wishes he could unlearn this and dive right in.
Artist/writer Ajuan Mance had the wonderful idea to draw "1000 Black Men" she encountered in daily life. It turned out to be more interesting project than she imagined. She confessed that it took her the first 300 drawings of Black men to recognize her own image bias in the types of men she chose to draw....
And information worth knowing about Spotify.
