i just found you from a related substack post and am really impressed with your down to earth advice and practicality and am looking forward to learning all i can from you ------- i am extremly interested in what you are calling individual critiques and critical thinking and would love to read some of your personal writings on these subjects etc. etc. although i have no idea what a writing marathon is ????????
For the upcoming writing marathon we simply write all we can through a weekend. Each person does what works for them. Some aim to complete a project or write at least 4 hrs or 8 hrs on Sat. and again on Sun. Welcome to the class!
Good advice from Bradbury. Not a fan of his approach to blockages. Love the advice about writing one short story a day. Thanks for sharing this
Yeah, I'd never heard that advice, but it's a wonderful challenge. Imagine writing 350 short stories each year, or even half that!
